The Japanese company FANUC (Factory Automation Numerical Control) is the largest manufacturer of industrial robots in the world, since the company produces more than 10.000 units a year. Founded in 1956, FANUC has established its headquarters in the city of Oshino, at the foot of the famous Mount Fuji. Since its creation, this leading company in the design of fully automated industrial machines is at the peak of the technology. It is a pioneering figure in the field of digital control and servo control. FANUC has indeed been one of the first major manufacturers to develop the digital control methods, CNC. Its know-how in the field of Factory Automation (automatic operation) endows its Robomachines with a very high accuracy and reliability. All FANUC machine tools are equipped with main components exclusively designed and manufactured in FANUC factory in Japan, and that, regardless of the group's subsidiaries that provide them. Checked and maintained by teams of specialists, like RDMO professionals, used FANUC machines are very highly sought products. The catalog of the Japanese manufacturer includes vertical machining centers, known to those familiar with the brand as Robodrill. These machines are recommended for large scale production of parts in series or prototypes, as well as in drilling and milling, for which they prove extremely fast. FANUC also manufactures machines for wire electroerosion operations. Called Robocut, they allow obtaining a very high quality surface and high-precision results, thanks to a home-made process based on a servo motor responsible for the automatic adjustment of wire tension. Finally, FANUC company offers Roboshot machine tools; it is in fact a fully electric and digitally controlled injection press.
