Jung
The German brand Jung is part of the Körber Group since December 1998, but the company has kept its identity and reputation among professionals, thanks to a very long story and a nearly one-century experience. The Jung company was founded in 1919. Based in Berlin, the Karl Jung firm already devoted most of its activity to the production of precision grinding machines and quickly put forward quality of its machine tools. Jung quickly chained the launching of new equipments far ahead of its time. Since 1925, the German manufacturer presented its very first model of flat hydraulic grinding machine. The company has been forced to move its offices in 1944, bartering its Berlin plant against another location in Göppingen. This change has in no case altered its production capacity or the popularity of its ultra high performance machine tools in the eyes of factories and workshops of all specialties. By the early 1960s, Jung introduced and launched the manufacturing of its famous Baureihe HF50 range. The end of the following decade saw the effective entry of the manufacturer of grinding machines in the digital control era; an area in which Jung showed its mastery and competitiveness, offering top of the range CNC machine tools. The Jung company has thus provided its equipment to customers worldwide. Japan has even become its largest export market in 1983, which loudly speaks the international reputation of the firm. Now, Jung offers small and medium sized grinding machines designed to perform superfinishing operations on precision workpieces. These machine tools are very present in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, bearing industry, electronics, optics, medical technology, aeronautics and aerospace. The Jung catalog includes CNC surface grinding machines and high quality profile grinder. On the second-hand market, Jung labelled machine tools are particularly sought-after.
