MANURHIN
Specializing in the design and manufacturing of CNC lathes, the company Manurhin is known worldwide in the field of precision machine tools dedicated to free cutting operations. It is also one of the pioneers in the manufacturing of automatic lathes. It was in 1920 that the company Machine Manufacture of Haut-Rhin was founded under the acronym Manurhin. Manurhin early years were especially devoted to the production of machines dedicated to the food industry. It was not until the mid 1930s that Manurhin will turn towards making automatic free cutting lathes. In 1966 it launched its first model of automatic lathe with hydraulic control and card programming: the Décomat 42. Nine years later, Manurhin signed a world premiere by developing the first CNC tailstock lathe Traminer. Manurhin is also a pioneer in the field of machine tools for double-spindle tailstock turning, with the presentation of KMX Twin in 1994. Meanwhile, the company launched its KMX system in 1987 and unveiled the KMX 20 model at EMO Milano. This system has valued its reliability and durability to customers around the world, so good that it was only recently, in 2011, after a quarter century of production and the distribution of more than 1,600 copies, that it was replaced by a new version: the KMX EVO, with 7 axes and designed for machining workpieces from 3 to 26 mm or 32 mm of diameter and offering the possibility to work on four tools simultaneously. The company headquarters Manurhin, which is now part of the Italian group TAJMAC since October 2004, is located in the industrial area of La Doller Burnhaupt-le-Haut in the Haut-Rhin. The label Manurhin is appended on several models of machine tools; mainly CNC lathes, CNC tailstock lathes, and presetting bench.
